Twillingate

Twillingate

Twillingate is a town of about 3,200

For the visitor to Newfoundland who wants to partake of rural lifestyle yet still enjoy many of today's modern conveniences, Twillingate is easily worthy of a three or four day stopover.

Things to do in Twillingate:

Take a short walk downtown or along the beach for shopping or exploring.

Take part in the week long party late July during the annual Fish, Fun and Folk Festival. Check out the craft shop in our local museum for souvenirs. There's plenty to do for everyone.

As you enter Twillingate, be sure to stop at the Prime Berth, our newest museum featuring old time fishing gear and treasures from days long past. The Prime Berth also offers boat rides in a traditional Newfoundland motor boat, coffee, tea and Newfoundland crafts. Climb the look-out for a glorious view of the bay.
